Ticket Prices

All main delegates pay £65.00 for the conference, which includes refreshments during the day, lunch and a drinks’ reception at 4pm.

We are also offering 2 bursary places to newly qualified professionals working in a NoWAL library.

Speakers and poster presenters are offered a reduced rate, details of which can be found via the booking form.

Keynote Speakers

Our keynote speakers are booked and ready to go!  They will speak at the beginning of the morning and afternoon sessions, to set the scene and inspire delegates for the day.

Emma Mulqueeny OBE
Emma is the founder of Rewired State and Young Rewired State, a Commissioner for the Speaker’s Commission on Digital Democracy and a Google Fellow.  Emma will speak on the millennials and the workforce of the future.

Luke Stevens-Burt – CILIP
Luke is Head of Business Development (Member Services) at CILIP.  His role is focussed on delivering value and support to the library and information profession through taking responsibility for the development and provision of member services.  Luke will speak on his experience of working in member services in the profession.


Cancellation policy

NoWAL operates the following cancellation policy:

• Cancellations made more than 28 days prior to the event date will be offered a full refund less an administration fee of £20 per delegate.
• Cancellation(s) made 15 to 28 days prior to the event date: 50% of the registration fee will be charged.
• Cancellation(s) made 14 days or less before the event date will be liable for the full registration fee.
• Delegates wishing to cancel a booking must confirm this in writing.
• Delegate ‘no shows’ are liable for the full event fee.
• In the case of adverse weather and the event runs as scheduled, should you choose not to attend, you will still be liable for the full cost of your delegate fee(s).
• Substitutions are allowed at any time at no extra cost.

About Lancaster University

The Lancaster University campus occupies a beautiful 560-acre parkland site at Bailrigg, just three miles from Lancaster City Centre. The University has risen to become one of Britain’s top universities, with over 12,000 students and 2,500 employees within the Bailrigg campus that is now almost a small town in its own right.

The conference, building on the great success of the 2015 conference at the Birley campus of Manchester Metropolitan University, will take place in the George Fox building at the stunning Lancaster campus, with a large lecture theatre, multiple break-out spaces and a large central foyer for networking, posters and supplier presentations.
