From 2004 to 2006 NoWAL operated a contract with the OCLC company NetLibrary for the supply of e-books. At the time, this was the largest consortial e-book agreement then extant in Europe. After the expiration of the contract in summer 2006, NoWAL continued to make the retained collection available to the consortium's users.

Statistical information on usage, by individual library and by the consortium as a whole, is available below.  The spreadsheet covers the period September 2004 onwards, and is updated monthly.
