About this event

Date: Thursday 23rd May 2024
Time: 1.00 – 4.00pm (Timings TBC - 1pm start for optional Catalyst tour – actual event/presentations begin 1:30pm)
Format: In-person (places are limited so book early!)
Venue: Willow Training Room, 1st Floor, Catalyst Building, Edge Hill University, Ormskirk, L39 4QP

Join a unique event hosted by Edge Hill University as they present key findings from a bespoke, high-level evaluation of student communications across three large support services: Library and Learning Services, Student Services and Careers, which are co-located in a purpose-built building called Catalyst. Learn how the project was designed and delivered, how communications have developed and progressed in response to the findings and the associated challenges, successes and future aspirations for Catalyst Communications.

The session will include 2 x 60-minute presentations and a 15/30-minute comfort break/time for Q&A:

  • Student Communications Project (60 mins)
    • Setting the scene
    • Overview of the project
    • Key findings
    • Recommendations
    • Q&A Opportunity

  • Catalyst Communications (60 mins)
    • What has been implemented since project completion
    • Challenges and successes
    • Early findings
    • Future aspirations
    • Q&A Opportunity

The ideal audience for the event is anyone who communicates with students in the promotion of student support; anyone who works in communications/marketing (however new or advanced that capacity may be!); or anyone keen to enhance their understanding of communicating with students.

NB: This event is not open to EHU employees – there will be internal sessions taking place for them to attend in the coming months so we would like to reserve these events for non-EHU staff.
