NoWAL is a consortium of all the UK University and Colleges of Higher Education libraries in Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside. The consortium exists to enhance the delivery of services to users in a number of ways, including the design and delivery of staff training courses, a reciprocal access and borrowing policy and the consortial procurement of library materials.
